Empowering Smallholder Tea Farmers:

A Collaborative Initiative Partnerships are key to the KTDA Foundation’s efforts to improve the welfare of smallholder tea producers in areas such as education, health, economic empowerment, and environmental protection. Sudi Matara, General Manager and Executive Trustee of the KTDA Foundation, made this statement during this week’s two-day Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) meeting in Nairobi.

“KTDA Foundation is going beyond Quality Tea by focusing on improving smallholder farmers’ livelihoods through innovative policies and impact-driven financing, as well as collaborating with partners to strengthen resilience to climate change, gender inequality, limited access to social security, and other challenges in the tea sector,” said Sudi,
