Driving Sustainable Change Across Mount Kenya Tea Landscape
On 26th August, Thumaita Tea Factory celebrated a major milestone under the MSuLLi Program, with 1,107 smallholder tea farmers graduating at the factory.
With the support of the KTDA Foundation, IKEA Foundation and Rainforest Alliance, the factory is advancing regenerative agricultural practices such as agroforestry, diversification, financial literacy, kitchen gardening, water conservation, and soil management.
This empowers smallholder tea farmers to adapt to climate change while also unlocking alternative income opportunities.
