Families Impacted by Gura Hydro Canal Recently Damaged by Torrential Rains Compensated
Forty-four families affected by the Gura Hydro canal which was damaged by torrential rains recently, today received Ksh12 million in compensation to help restore livelihoods impacted by the incident.
The compensation was issued during a community forum attended by residents, KTDA leadership, and the Gura Power Company Board.
The forum provided an opportunity for meaningful engagement between the community and KTDA leadership.
Among those present were KTDA Acting Group CEO Eng. Francis Miano, Zone 4 Board Member Mr David Ndung’u, KTDA Power Company Acting General Manager Eng. Moses Shikuku, and Majani Insurance General Manager Pauline Mwangi.
