KTDA team led by vice-chairman Dr. Wesley Cheruiyot and CEO Wilson Muthaura together with Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi and officials from Fujian Starchina Tea Company (China) during the opening of the China Tea Trade Centre on May 15th in China. KTDA also signed an MOU with Fujian Starchina outlining cooperation for the production and marketing of black CTC, orthodox and other specialty teas. The new centre is expected to enhance export of Kenyan tea to China with a target of 5 million kilos in the next three years. Benny Tea Company will also facilitate equipment and technology transfer to Kenyan tea factories to process teas suited to the Chinese market.
