Motigo Tea Factory was crowned the prestigious Supplier of the Year by Taylors of Harrogate (TOH)! This elite global award recognizes Motigo’s exceptional quality, consistency, and unwavering commitment to international standards.
Taylors of Harrogate commands over 40% of the entire UK tea market, and sources 60% of this from KTDA. Recognizing the brilliance of our farmers, TOH has committed 30% of their entire KTDA Direct Buying business strictly to Motigo Tea Factory!
Receiving the award, KTDA Board Member Zone 2 & Chairman of Marketing, Mr. James Githinji, Kapkoros/Motigo Chairman, Mr. Robert Rono and Motigo Tea Factory FUM Geoffrey Rotich, dedicated this historic honour entirely to the true architects of this success, our smallholder tea farmers.
As Factory Unit Manager Geoffrey Rotich beautifully put it: “This award is a celebration of a meticulous journey that begins with a single, perfectly plucked leaf in our farms and ends with an exceptional cup of tea in the UK.”
Beyond the award, the KTDA delegation, including Board Members Baptista Kanyaru and Philip Langat, alongside GMs Vincent Mwingirwa and Sudi Matara, held vital strategic talks with Taylors of Harrogate and Ringtons. These discussions centered on future-proofing the industry, boosting the KTDA Foundation’s social impact, and building a highly resilient, rewarding economic ecosystem for our farmers.
Join us in celebrating our incredible farmers and the entire Motigo team for putting Kenyan tea firmly on top of the world stage!
